The Last of Us Trailer
The Last of Us follows the story of one man’s memory of his family. Set in the mid 1980s, the narrator travels back into the memories of his childhood in Prague just before the war. We meet his mother, father, brother and the cast of characters that surround his strange, impoverished, yet wonderful family.
The film, directed by Jeremiah Morgan and Sam Force, premiered January 21st, 2011. The lead roles are performed by Richard Clairmont, Jeremiah Morgan, Caleb Stengel, and Amy Sousa. All of the music for The Last of Us utilizes local artists and was recorded at George Rezendes’ Toolshed SoundLab. Paul Chasman, a Port Angeles based guitarist and composer, wrote the score. Sam Force, owner and operator of Flying Circle F Productions, was director of cinematography.
The Last of Us, written by Wes Cecil, was originally conceived as a play and received its full production debut in early 2010 at the Chameleon Theatre in Port Townsend.
The decision to produce The Last of Us as a full-feature film gave birth to a Port Townsend based production company and the following mission:
“to bring the 'go local' movement to media. The advent of high quality digital media, online distribution, and computer editing has, for the first time, made it possible for visually outstanding, economically viable films to be produced at the community level.
We feel that the talents of our community can and should be harnessed to encourage artistic expression and provide the possibility of jobs in one of the most important economic sectors of our economy.
Most of all, we believe in the possibilities of experimentation, art, and the incredible capacities of the people of our community. „
