The Last of Us, written by Wes Cecil, was originally conceived as a play and received its full production debut in early 2010 at the Chameleon Theatre in Port Townsend.

The decision to produce The Last of Us as a full-feature film gave birth to a Port Townsend based production company and the following mission:

to bring the 'go local' movement to media. The advent of high quality digital media, online distribution, and computer editing has, for the first time, made it possible for visually outstanding, economically viable films to be produced at the community level.

We feel that the talents of our community can and should be harnessed to encourage artistic expression and provide the possibility of jobs in one of the most important economic sectors of our economy.

Most of all, we believe in the possibilities of experimentation, art, and the incredible capacities of the people of our community.
